Over the years, I’ve explored many wellness tools that support rest, regulation, and nervous system balance. The products I share here aren’t trends — they’re practices and tools I personally return to because they work and because they invite us back into the body with intention.

At first glance, the Bed of Nails can look intimidating — hundreds of small, rounded spikes designed to stimulate acupressure points across the body. But once you settle in, it becomes an unexpectedly calming and grounding experience.
I love the Bed of Nails because it encourages stillness, presence, and a deep listening to the body — much like restorative yoga, breathwork, or meditation. It’s a tool that helps shift the body out of “doing” and into being.

How I Use It
10–20 minutes lying on the mat, often with knees bent or supported
Paired with slow nasal breathing or a short body scan
Sometimes after restorative yoga or before sleep
Occasionally seated against a wall to support the back or hips
Less is more — the practice doesn’t need to be intense to be effective.
A Gentle Note
Like any wellness practice, this tool isn’t about pushing through discomfort. Sensation is part of the experience, but it should never feel painful or overwhelming. I always recommend easing in slowly, wearing a light layer at first, and listening to your body. Over time you can work your way up to use the mat on bare skin to be most effective. When using the mat for your back or side you can also use a small bolster underneath to bring the mat to make contact with your body.
