Curiosity

by Danielle Lauren

What sparks your curiosity? What are you interested in? What do you want to know more about? Do you live a rich life? Rich in interests and creativity? What do you do in your spare time? Are there places you want to visit and explore? Let’s face it – inspiration doesn’t always come easily. Passion and purpose are within us waiting to be found. Curiosity sets the tone and allows us to explore this place within us. Do you want to live a full life? If so, what fascinates you?

Curiosity is a strong desire to know or learn something. To be curious is to live a life in search of meaning, exploration, and understanding. How can you bridge the current gap of the life you are currently perceiving to the life you want to explore? Tap into your creativity through the simple process of curiosity. Open the doors of your mind and peak around inside. You may be surprised at what you find. Curiosity brings a sense of vibrance to your life. So, ask yourself – what am I interested in? What do I want to learn more about? What desires do I want to fill in this life and how am I willing to explore these options?

By piquing your curiosity, you begin to write the unwritten page. You start at this place. If you don’t know where to start – close your eyes and begin to sense your breath as it is occurring in this moment. Begin to breathe deeper as you allow your body to soften. When your thoughts begin to settle, and you notice the silence between them and sink deeper into meditation – allow this to be your centering thought – what interests me? Continue to repeat the question silently to yourself. What interests me? At first don’t try and answer the question, just keep asking. Eventually you will hear a response as if it naturally popped into your head. Go with this thought. See where it leads you. This is a wonderful practice to do whenever you are trying to find the answer. Do this type of meditation throughout your day to boost your creativity and spark your curiosity. The answers are within you, all you need to do is find a few moments of silence so you can begin to listen.
