How do we engage in the practice of non-attachment? Life is made up of attachments. We hold on to experiences, we cling to relationships, we strive for more material possessions.
“The root of suffering is attachment.” – Buddha
Non-attachment is a form of letting go. Letting go of how we think things should be and allowing life to flow just as it is. One way to practice non-attachment is through the art of meditation. By detaching yourself from the outside surroundings, your external world, and drawing inwards, you create the ability to find what you are looking for within
How do you know if you are attached? At the root of attachment there is fear of loss. Ask yourself… what am I holding on to? Find within you a place of comfort with your true self that you can access through stillness and meditation.
