Mindfulness is tuning into the experience of coming alive. Take a few deep breaths. Pause and relax. In the morning as you drink your coffee or tea take the moment to yourself and enjoy the taste of it. When you take a shower revel in the sensations of the water on your body, the smell of your shampoo, the sound of the water. Take note of when your mind drifts and gently bring it back. Observe how you are feeling from moment to moment. When you are eating your lunch focus on all of the flavors that you taste within that moment, eat slowly, and notice what you like about it. Get outside and absorb some sunshine – pause and relax and feel the warmth on your skin. Stop and smell the flowers and come into the moment as you experience it. As you relax for bed allow your body to soften as you focus on your breathing. Intentionally practice mindfulness throughout your day.
